Synchrony Financial Diversity
When I think about diversity, it gives us such an enormous advantage, and I think it’s no secret that from a different point of view, diversified big companies have better leadership than those.
I think the company’s advantage is that its differences far outweigh its similarities. I think inclusiveness is the cornerstone of a synchrony financial culture. It’s part of our DNA. It’s a proud affinity network that plays a vital role in our organization.
Inclusiveness is at the heart of the network. It understands people and supports their teamwork spirit at a multifaceted level, so intimate groups connect people to different parts of the organization so that they can become leaders of tomorrow.
It’s extraordinary, welcoming and embracing, and one of the great things about all our resource teams is that we can provide leadership opportunities for us to continue our team’s professional development and affinity groups is a very important part of how employees start school through business and have an inclusive culture. The competitive advantage of the company provides value for the company.
I think our clients feel this way too. They have diversity. They want to see diversity in our thinking. Inclusion is the difference of opinion that drives innovation. The diversity of ideas that are new.
So there are business reasons, and then there are ethical reasons, and doing the right thing in a company is doing the right thing, and people can bring their best into everything we want to do to amaze people.
It realizes that the sum is greater than the sum of its parts, and that you are not the only one with such influence, and at the end of the day, I think more of us can relate to this topic, and then not be a company that invests time and energy to respect a part of me. Part of it makes me feel happy to be a member of this organization.
